I just discovered, thanks to Phil, Maria Lectrix, a blog dedicated to providing audio recordings of books for readers with “Catholic tastes.” Well, sign me up! Included among the free audiobooks are Irenaeus’ Against Heresies, Cyril of Jerusalem’s Catechetical Lectures, Hilaire Belloc’s Europe and the Faith, and John Henry Newman’s Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine, just to name a few. This is truly a treasure of Christian literature being made available in audio form. From what I’ve listened to so far, the quality is quite serviceable.
