It’s one of the great moments in 70s cinema. “I want you to go to your windows, open them up, and yell, `I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!’” His audience does it, to a background of night-time thunder. A comment, not only on the enchanting power of television, but also on the real, seething rage it exploits.
